Flare, Start Here

Short answer: Flare is an EVM blockchain (it works with MetaMask and other 0x wallets) built around data: its own price oracle (the FTSO) and a way to bring in facts from other chains. Its coin is FLR. You can earn on FLR without selling or locking it, by wrapping it and delegating to data providers, and claiming the rewards before they expire.
Earning with FLR
- Wrap FLR into WFLR, one for one, from your own wallet.
- Delegate your WFLR to one or two data providers. Your coins never leave your wallet and there's no lock-up.
- Claim your rewards regularly. Unclaimed rewards expire after about 90 days.
- rFLR is a separate reward token that unlocks over 12 months.
Step by step: how to wrap and delegate FLR, claim your delegation rewards, why rewards expire and how to claim rFLR.
More on Flare
- FXRP brings XRP onto Flare for use in apps: what FXRP is.
- sFLR is liquid-staked FLR from Sceptre; the Portfolio shows its recent yield.
- Songbird (SGB) is Flare's "canary" network, where new features run first. It works the same way: wrap SGB, delegate, claim.
Watch out
- Fake claim sites for FLR or rFLR. Claim from the official Flare Portal or a tool that uses Flare's own contracts.
- Approvals: revoke old ones. See how to check and revoke token approvals.
On Crypto Lighthouse
Flare is where our tools go deepest: [My Rewards](/rewards) finds rewards to claim before they expire, wraps, delegates, checks approvals and sends safely, and the [Portfolio](/portfolio) shows your FLR, WFLR, sFLR and DeFi positions.
